Embedding Flash from other sites
One main aspect to having your own site is being able to publish and show the world your creative products, be that music, video, photos or games. Flash powers about 90% of online video and sound content and is probably what you watch your Youtube videos in and listen to music online (unless on a mobile device like the iphone).
Vimeo, Youtube and Soundcloud use flash, and they offer easy ways for your include video or players on your own site.
Ading Flash to your site
Adobe’s Flash is a great tool for creating rich interactive experiences online – it powers much of the video, music, games and animation on the web and although the new upcoming HTML5 and CSS3 promise to deliver similar experiences, only the most modern browsers will display them correctly, so it’s fairly safe to say Flash won’t be going anywhere any time soon. PLEASE NOTE: This is how to embed a Flash SWF file that you have created yourself – for instructions on embedding Flash from other sites – for example youtube, Vimeo, Soundcloud, Flickr etc see here. Steampunk Inspired lego sequencer
musician Yoshi Akai wrote his master’s thesis on how to turn color into sound, and he’s been dreaming up unorthodox ways of producing music ever since. Case in point: the Lego Sequencer MR II, a contraption that uses three-dimensional Lego structures to emulate a three-channel, eight-step sequencer, where each differently colored plastic brick produces a different sound and complex combinations (including tremolo and overdrive) are possible when the blocks are stacked.
