CSM5 Schedule Timeline
Here is a time line for preparing your CSM5 scheduling;
Work back from the hand in date and develop a schedule for when you need to complete content by.
It breaks down into these time frames:
Pre-production
June -September = 3 months
This will be the bulk of your writing/ sketching/ prototyping time. Break it down into to smaller components if necessery – eg 1 new track every 2 weeks
Summer school
September 6-10
You can present some of your work here – peer & staff feedback will be useful
Pre-production conclusion
September – October = 1 month
Further develop the outcomes of pre-production with extra skill acquisitions
Production 1
October – December – 2 months
Full scale production – you should aim to complete the majority of your work by the end of this period – i.e all studio work
Xmas
1 month
This can be a useful time to reflect on the work and complete other aspects of the project – artwork, software, video editing etc.
Production 2
January – February = 1 month
This time should be used for final completion – extra mixing/mastering / authoring / artwork
Giving yourself this month in hand will be vital for contingency plans – overcoming technical problems , final tweaking and extra content / improvements.
